Today we have a game that isn't all that old (well, it's pretty old, but not 60s or 70s old), but that sums up this scary holiday pretty well. Let me introduce you to....Vampire Hunter!
Vampire Hunter came out in 2002. I actually bought it new back then to play with my daughter. Unlike most "play them in the dark" games, this one MUST actually be played in the dark! You see, the tower lights are not bright enough to fight against even a night light. Is it fun? Well, yes, actually! The changing board combines just the right amount of strategy and luck.
Interestingly enough, the movie 13 Ghosts used the exact same technology in 1960 with it's "Illusion-O Ghost Viewer." When the audience looked through the red side of the viewer, ghosts would appear, the blue side offered a tamer viewing experience.
So happy Halloween! Get out there and catch some vampires!
And until next time, keep searching for treasure!

Apparently Blogger doesn't like people commenting from anything but a computer. I'm trying to find a solution, but so far no luck. If your comment doesn't go through, please try from a computer. Thanks.
